3 Years in Chicago…

Chicago

It’s been three years since I moved to Chicago.

My life completely was altered by moving here. For one thing, I became an adult. Like a tried and true adult. I thought I was one living in California, but being thousands of miles away from people who are blood, you really learn what you are made of.

I will be moving into my third decade in life soon and it’s hard not to reflect on your life and measure it up to what you thought you wanted verses what you do want versus what you do have. I never thought I’d be here. And I am incredibly thankful that I am here. That three years ago I had the faith and courage to follow God.

This anniversary is a marker of that faith and a reminder to always follow after God. Seek Him. His plan is always better. It’s way more beautiful and exciting and edifying, and well,  poetic than my plans could ever be.

I love living in this city, but more importantly, I love living with God.
